Thank you again for being a social conscience to all of us. I am simply perplexed... as even though we take pride in America being the best country in the world.. the following facts baffle me.. 1. How can we as a country what happens to the body of a woman (refering to abortion) by a senate where 90% + are men? 2. How can we as a group get over-awed by a woman who is the mayor of a community that is slightly larger than Piney Creek.. especially as she is as inexperienced and as anti-American (in my humble opinion) as it gets. 3. How can only 25% of the population care to vote? (In Australia it is illegal not to vote and in India 60%+ vote) Now solutions... 1. Please research the candidates at all level for yourself and DO NOT vote just on a party ticket. 2. Please vote. It is an honor and freedom nearly 1/2 the world does not. 3. My wife and I have thought about learning french just in case we need to move up north. I use to have a lot of republican friends. They were good people. Then after Bush became president they became mean people, saying things like we need to round up liberals and send them to gitmo or even beter just shoot them. If you were against the war like I was they called me a terrorist supporter or a traitor to my country, and they knew I had 2 honorable discharges. They are no longer my friends, and the thing is, I no longer have to keep track of things I owned because no one is borrowing them anymore. I'm doing everything I can to convert moderate republicans who dislike their party to vote for Obama, it isn't easy fighting against the right wing press. I agree with you.
